A 3D laser scanner is a high-speed measurement device that captures data at a rate of tens of thousands of points per second over a full 360° range around the machine in just one second. The laser light travels back and forth between the scanner and the object without directly touching it, determining the distance and acquiring three-dimensional coordinate values based on the angle and distance of the emitted light.
